Daria Lavrova
The artistic style of Daria Lavrova is based on the tradition of analytical drawing and is influenced by cubism and constructivism styles. The central idea is by means of a vivid composition to reveal the inner lines of force and connections, which lie beneath the surface and hold the image together, and thereby retain the inner energy of the depicted scene. It does not mean abstraction, simplifying the objects, but it is rather a search for an optimal amount of details, necessary to depict the scene and emphasize the interaction between the objects. By observing the environment, according to Daria, an artist carefully chooses what exactly forms the object, how many lines are enough to draw it in a most recognizable, witty and fascinating way, how to depict such qualities as simplicity, musical clarity, and harmony, no matter what kind of landscape it is.
