Hanne Winkler
Hanne Winkler is a Danish artist residing in The Netherlands. Her contemporary body of work is based on patterns and colours, often with small roughly torn fragments of paper. Torn edges and layering suggest that these fragments were once part of a whole thus introducing a sense of void or erasure and reinforcing the contrast between what remains and what is lost. The traces of paint and subtle shadows hint at an interplay between presence and absence. Hanne Winkler’s work balances abstraction with layered narratives.
